Rugby Gave Me Everything — Why I Started Code Fifteen
Share
I picked up a rugby ball for the first time at eight years old. I didn't know it then, but the sport would shape almost every part of my life. From my closest friends, to my career, to the places I've lived and even how I met my wife.
Rugby took me from Glasgow to the Netherlands and gave me the chance to play and be capped internationally. Eventually, it led me into a career creating jerseys for major sports brands; Nike, Canterbury, and Asics — including the Springboks’ 2019 World Cup winning kit.
But more than that, rugby gave me a sense of belonging.
It gave me a community of friends and family.
It gave and continues to give me the feeling that if you put something into the sport, it will always give something back.
That’s why Code Fifteen exists. I want to reflect the culture of rugby into clothing — the heritage, the humour, the honesty, the connection and the generosity of spirit.
Rugby has given me everything - this brand is a way to give even a small part of that back.
